Welcome to week 3 of my stress busting tips. This week my tip is to exercise.

Exercise is a wonderful tool for stress. Many people use it to de-stress and say they feel energised and calmer after a session at the gym.

However, be careful if you have been highly stressed for a long time, feel exhausted or have adrenal fatigue. High intensity exercise may not be for you and could make you feel more exhausted instead of energised.

If this sounds like you then try activities such as walking, dancing, swimming, pilates or yoga. Going for a walk for just 20 minutes a day is actually enough to benefit your brain. And if you are interested in seeing a personal trainer then find someone who has experience working with people who have chronic stress.

Good luck with trying to exercise and I’ll see you next week!
